Saturday market bread is gone by nine

The stall at the north end, blue awning, had three loaves at 8:40. By nine the crate was empty. If you want a whole loaf, go when the bell rings.

Marcus Confirmed the blue awning. I took the end-slice bag and I am not sorry.

Leaf blowers before eight again

Third morning this week the crew on Birch started before 7:30. City quiet hours run until 8. I am not trying to stop the work — can we ask them to start at the legal time?

  • Birch Avenue

Ruth I will send a note to the crew lead. They corrected the same thing in March within a week.

Porch light out on the 200 block of Maple

The city pole in front of 214–220 Maple has been dark since Tuesday. I filed a streetlight ticket this morning, reference 44821. The corner at Birch is lit if you are walking after dusk.

  • 200 block of Maple Street

Theo Walked it last night. Fully out, not flickering. Thanks for filing the ticket.

Nori the cat slipped out near Oak Court

Small gray cat, white chest, green collar, no bell. She got out with the groceries around 7 this morning. She will not come to a stranger — a comment is enough and I will come get her. She is chipped.

  • Oak Court

Priya I will watch the garden bed on Cedar. She hid there once last summer.

Block cleanup on the green

Bags and gloves are in the bin by the green. We take the path edges and the little library corner. Done by 10:30. Maple Press is setting a coffee urn aside for whoever stays.

Found: a blue leash by the little library

Blue nylon, brass clip, no tags. I hung it on the library fence at Oak Court so it is off the path. If it is yours, it should still be there.

Cedar Hill Hardware cut a key while I waited

I needed a copy of a weird old key and they did not send me to the mall. Four minutes, six dollars, and the right blank. Worth the walk from Willow.

Welcome basket for the new place on Pine Row

The household at 8 Pine Row has a second-grader and a very polite dog. The basket has a market map and one of Amira's buns. It sits on my porch until tomorrow evening if you want to add something small.

Northside Vet took the dog the same week

A limp after the green, and they got us in within two days. No pile of extra tests. One clear instruction and we were home. Ask for Dr. Shah if you can.
